Only last week we showed you a new jailbreak tweak called Destra which gave the iPad and iPhone a macOS-inspired banner notification experiencePart form minor changes to the banner notification aesthetics, maybe one of the other eye-catching aspects about the tweak was that it made banner notifications on the iPad feel more desktop-like by moving them over to the top right of the display rather than displaying them in the center.
If you liked the concept of right-aligned banner notifications on your iPad but didn’t like the price tag that Destra requested, then you might like a newly released and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer jesseb0rn called iustum, as it brings this notification banner-centric feature particularly to pwned iPads at no charge to the end user.
Examples of iustum at work are shown in the example above on screenshot. You will notice that the banner notifications on the iPad platform are not only right-aligned but also more compact than they would normally be out of the box with the banner notification experience centered on it.
iustum doesn’t come with any configuration choices at the time of this writing. For what it’s worth, the paid Destra tweak allowed users to make changes to the banner size among other items, and it remains to be seen if jesseb0rn can add configurable new features to iustum in future updates. However, what we do know is that iustum is scheduled to become open source in about three days from its publication.
Those interested in trying the iustum tweak can download it from the jesseb0rn repository free of charge through their preferred package manager. The change supports iPads running jailbroken iPadOS 13 installations.
