You can hold on to your favorite spots in Google Maps like saving locations that you enjoy in Apple Maps too. And with the List feature, you can use pre-made lists, create your own, share them with friends, publish them for other users of Google Maps and more

01.Show your Google Maps collection

To view lists on an iPhone or iPad in Google Maps, simply open the app and select the Saving the tab at the bottom. Then pick the tab Lists at the top of the screen below.

Pre-made lists for Favorites, Want to go and Starred places are pinned at the top. Profit from these pre – made lists by adding spots to them which we will discuss below.

Create a list

Tap the plus sign at the bottom of the tab and screen in the Lists to add a row. Give a name to your list, a brief overview and whether you want to keep it private or share it, which you can alter later if you like. Click Save.

You can then keep adding spaces straight away to your new list. Tap Connect, find, and pick a position in the report. You will see that added to your new list then. Alternatively, you can add places later on to your chart. To return to the Lists tab simply tap the arrow at the top of the list.

Add locations – list

Click Save, if you have a place on the screen that you want to add to a list. Then pick the list to which you wish to add it, optionally attach a note and then tap Done. You will note that on this screen you can build a new list, too.

Edit or remove location-List

When you have added a spot to a chart, you can see the Saved button highlighted and the chart you saved to display below. Tap the Saved button to change the list, or delete the location from it. Uncheck the list to delete the location or mark a check next to another list on which you want on apply that.

You can save locations to more for one list and if you do, you will see an icon number for that position on Saved button

Share – List

You have a few different choices for sharing your lists on Google Maps. By grabbing a link to it, you can share them directly with friends or family members or you can make it a public list that other Google Maps users that have the connection can access.

How to Share your list

• From the Saved >Lists screen >Click More next to the list and pick Share list.
• From the list details screen. Click More on the top right and Select Share list.
• From the list details screen. Click Share.

Disable the toggle, in the small pop-up window if you want to allow anyone with the connection to edit the list,,, and tap Continue. Choose your sharing option to add a connection to your list, and follow the prompts.

Share a link – List

Start with one of the following if you would rather copy a link to your list or allow specific people to edit it.

• From the Saved >Lists screen,,,, Click More next to the list and Select Share list.

• From the list details screen… Click More  on the top right and Select Share list.

Click Shared. Under Link to Display, you can see the link,,, and click the button to copy the link… You can allow editing options at the bottom,,, and press the Invite Editors, button to share it with specific individuals.

Share- list -publicly

• From the Saved >Lists screen, Click More ,, next to the list and Select Share list.
• From the list details screen,,, tap More, on the top right and Select Share list.

To view and confirm by pressing the Publish button, select Public to post your list to Google Maps for all.

If you plan to make your list public and post it on Google Maps, there is a possibility that it will become a featured list. The list must have its own title, a summary, at least four locations, and descriptions for each venue, to be included. Other users can follow your list as well, just as others can follow.

Follow -list

When you see a list featured on Google Maps or get a link to a list created by your friend, you can follow that list. This will link the list to your Saved files, and proposed locations on your map.

Click Follow Details page on the site. Then come to Saved>Lists you will see a section.. for Lists You Follow.

Click More next to the list or at the top of the screen for information to hide, share or unfollow a list and Select a choice.

Hide, edit, or remove a list

If you want,, to change the name or description for a list add or remove notes ,for the places move to Saved >Lists. Tap the three dots beside the list and select a Choose.

• Select Hide on your map List places not to be shown on the map.
• Select Edit list Modify the name, description or notes for thelocations. Click Save >finish.
• Select Delete list Remove and then confirm by pressing Remove.
