The biggest update in years is promised for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. So far, here’s what we know.
The iPhone 12, with four new iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max versions, was released.
5 G, a faster A14 Bionic processor and a sleek new design are offered in all four iPhone 12 models. The cameras, too, were upgraded by Apple with better computer photography and a 7-element lens.
To make the iPhone 12 tougher, there’s a new Ceramic Shield glass display that Apple says is the toughest in the industry. There’s a new MagSafe wireless charging device as well that’s intended to make wireless charging a little easier (and faster).

A more powerful camera system with better optical zoom, a stainless steel design and a LiDAR sensor for faster autofocus are provided by the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. But for these features, you’ll pay more.

On October 16, the iPhone 12 will be available for pre-order and the release date is Oct. 23. In October, the iPhone 12 Pro has the same accessibility. Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will have to wait for you. Until landing on Nov. 13, those two phones will be up for pre-order nov. 6.

iPhone 12
Announced is the iPhone 12. 5 G connectivity, a 6.1-inch OLED display, a 5 nm A14 Bionic processor and a new design are available for $799. The phone comes in the colors of black , white, red , green and blue.
On the iPhone 12, though still using a 6.1-inch screen, Apple has reduced the display borders. The phone is 11% thinner, 15% smaller and 16% lighter.
There are twice as many pixels in the Super Retina XDR display as the iPhone 11, and the screen is rated to achieve a brightness peak of 1,200 nits.
Apple says the glass in the iPhone 12 is the toughest on the market. Co-developed with Gorilla Glass, the Ceramic Shield technology provides 4x higher drop performance.
The iPhone 12 features a new Smart Data Mode on the 5 G front, which can drop down automatically to 4 G LTE to save battery life. And if the app needs it, you’ll get 5 G speeds quicker than that. Despite some reports that predicted only the Pro models will work on high-speed 5 G, the iPhone 12 (and the iPhone 12 Mini) would be able to work on all kinds of 5 G networks.

iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max
There are bigger displays on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. A 6.1-inch screen is available on the iPhone 12 Pro, up from 5.8 inches, and the iPhone 12 Pro is 6.7 inches.
The good news is that they are around the same size as their predecessors on these phones. So, you get more real estate on a chassis of the same size.With an aluminium band, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro come in a variety of new colours. Silver, graphite, gold and blue are among others.
For example, with Deep Fusion, the A14 Bionic processor makes powerful computational photography. On all four cameras, this feature is now available.
Both the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max have better f/1.6-aperture wide main cameras. In order to compensate for hand movement, a new sensor-shift image stabilization device monitors motion in the X and Y axes.
HDR video can be shot on the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. Actually, it’s the first camera in the world to record in Dolby Vision HDR. Phones can do this at 60 fps in 4 K, and you can also edit in Dolby Vision HDR.
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max LiDAR scanners will increase the speed of autofocus by up to 6 times. And in low-light portrait shots, you’ll get a better performance. This is in addition to the benefits that LiDAR brings to applications for augmented reality.

Charging and fast charging of the iPhone 12 MagSafe
The bad news is, for any of the new iPhone 12s, Apple doesn’t have a charger. In the package, you get just a USB-C to Lightning cable and no brick charging. However, with MagSafe, there’s a new way to charge.
To make it easier to charge the iPhone 12 by only putting the charger on the back of the handset, MagSafe uses magnets. Up to 15W of power is supplied by MagSafe, and several adapters are available, including the $39 MagSafe charger.
As well as MagSafe-ready cases and a leather wallet, Apple will also make a MagSafe Duo Charger available that can charge the iPhone 12 and Apple Watch simultaneously. To release other MagSafe iPhone 12 accessories, Apple is working with third-party manufacturers.
For $19, a faster 20W charger is available if you want to go the wired road.
iPhone 12 – outlook
The iPhone 12 is not filled with a lot of surprises, but it looks like Apple has made a lot of updates to lure upgraders. In particular, the stronger Ceramic Shield display, improved cameras throughout the board and the inclusion of 5 G are convincing. Plus, it can certainly turn heads on the smaller iPhone 12 mini.
With all of the camera improvements, the iPhone 12 Pro and particularly the iPhone 12 Pro Max feel more Pro than ever. And we especially welcome the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s larger main camera sensor and more efficient zoom. When we get the new iPhones in for analysis, we’ll have to see how well the LiDAR sensor aids auto focus.
